My gg grandfather, Joseph Loomer Thompson born someplace in CT in 1821 and died in North Stonington CT in 1887. His parents are unknown. What would be the best bet to get a copy of his death record? North Stonington Clerk or the CT Archives? Would I have to send a copy of my CGS membership card to either or both? Would it still be $5 to get a copy at the North Stonington Clerk's office?
