(Talk about looking for a needle in a haystack! LOL!). John KING was born somewhere between 1760-1770, possibly in CT. I don't know when he died but I assume he died in either New London or Waterford, CT. John KING married Naomi BEEBE in or around 1790 in New London county. Naomi BEEBE was b. 1/5/1767 and she was the d/o Jeduthan BEEBE and Lucretia DAYTON (I have tons of information on those lines if anyone's interested, just let me know!). John KING and Naomi BEEBE had 11 children. All born in Waterford, CT. Their son, Jonathan Rogers KING is my direct ancestor. He was b. 5/17/1808 Waterford, CT d. 12/22/1893 New London, CT. Jonathan married (1) Mary Ann NICHOLS/NICOLS 8/15/1830. They had 7 children. Jonathan married (2) Abby NICHOLS/NICOLS, Mary Ann's sister. They had six children, 3 of whom probably died in infancy. Jonathan's wives are most likely the daughters of Harvey NICOLS of Groton and Southport, CT and his wife Anne BAKER. One daughter of Jonathan and Mary Ann was Anna Francis KING she is b.10/7/1842 New London, CT d. aft. 1880. She married (1) George DARLING 10/8/1858 New London, CT. They had 5 children. George and Anna divorced in 1872. Anna married (2) Salmu/Samuel SCOVILLE abt. 1876 or so. I have lots of information on many of the lines listed above. I've never been able to find out where John KING came from or anything about his family. Any information on John KING who married Naomi BEEBE is very much appreciated! If these lines sound familiar to anyone please let me know. You can e-mail me at [email protected] Thanks! Lisa
