Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie!!! Thank you very much for finding this info at HISTGEN! At 10:29 AM 9/22/2006, you wrote: >They are both buried in the Pachaug Cemetery, Norwich, New London >Dea. I' ve hunted high and low in such sources as the Barbour Collections, NEHGR set of CDs covering volumes of the register from 1847 to1994, Norwich published VRs, etc.... For some reason it never occurred to me to check out the online NEHGS databases. I guess because on many research visits to their library I had looked for her . I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but we were gone a couple of days and then NEHGS didn't recognize my login. I changed e-mail addresses last year and forgot to notify them. Got an e-mail in from NEHGS this morning saying they had now updated my info. Went on in to the Cemetary Transcription database, and just like you reported there they were as big as, hmmmmm...., life. <g> Now my problem is trying to word a source/cite for this info. I guess I'll use something like Mill's model for an electronic database: _Cemetery_Transcriptions_from_the_NEHGS_Manuscript_Collections: _Connecticut_Cemeteries_, "Pachaug Cemetery", online <http://www.newenglandancestors.org/research/database/cemeteries/browse.asp?id=27587&oid=27587&page=1>, at The New England Historic Genealogical Society <http://www.newenglandancestors.org/> (101 Newbury St; Boston, MA 02116), viewed 9 Sep 2006. Question: Anyone out there know where this cemetery is located? NEHGS says it is near Pachaug, CT (where ever that is), Delorme Street Atlas says Pachaug located on SR 138 west of Voluntown, somewhere I saw something connecting this cemetary to the town of Norwich. Anyway, it appears Pachaug is in the vicinity of Griswold. Sooo is Pachaug (a section of) in the town of Griswold, Voluntown, Norwich or somewhere else? I'm not that familiar with the geography of this area even though I host a couple of New London Co. USGenWeb town projects. I'm located in the Memphis, TN metro area.
