    1. Re: [CTNEWLON] Lamphere
    2. Just thought I would add my name to those looking for Lanphear. I have a Horace Lanphear, born 1865, married Abbey Owen of Sterling, Ct. He was a Captain commanding steamships running between Stonington, CT. and New York. She was buried in River Bend Cemetery in Westerly, Rhode Island but I have no more on him. Have a nice day, Barbara > From: "David Hoffman" <dvh592341@fastmail.fm> > Date: 2006/09/21 Thu PM 03:29:37 EDT > To: ctnewlon@rootsweb.com > Subject: [CTNEWLON] Lamphere > > > Sorry about the blank message. 3. Arnold's VR of RI shows a Horace V. Lanphear as a member in Westerly from 15 June 1843, dropped 1 Jan. 1860. Possibly because he moved to CT. The only birth record I could find was Horace Lanphere b Westerly, 25 Jan 1823. (Arnold's VR Vol. 4, page 252), son of William and Eliza.
