This is my Lamphere line. George Lamphere (died 6 Oct 1731) and Jane Hulet John Lamphere (c 1683-bef 30 May 1757) and Ruth LNU Nathan Lamphere (c 1710-bef 19 Apr 1799) and Mary Langworthy Mary Lamphere (5 Apr 1740-10 May 1814) and William Steward (19 Oct 1734-26 Sep 1788) I have a Solomon Lamphere, no dates, son of Shadrach Lamphere and Elizabeth Reed (Read); they were married 1696. Shadrach was son of George Lampehre and Jane Hulet. Unfortunately I can not cite adequate sourcing--so take this as unproven. It should provide some possibilities for you. Hi David New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 153 (April 1999), pages 131-140 page 135 George 1 Lanphear, progenenitor of the family in America, son of Richard and Averina Lanpheare, was b abt 1638 in England, perhaps in or near the parish of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London, where two of his siblings were baptised. He died at Westerly, R.I., 6 Oct. 1731. Although he may be the George who married at St. Botolph, Bishopsgate, London, on 3 Aug. 1659, Mary Readwood, no mention of his wife's name has been found in New England, and it is not known whether he was married more than once. page 140 Children of George Lanphear Sr. of Westerly, R.I.
