In your transcript of the will of Joseph Eggleston, father of Gershom Eggleston, he leaves one dollar to his grandson, John Lanphier. He lists four daughters, however none of them appear to be married to a Lanphier. I am guessing that John Lanphier is a brother of Lucretia Lanphier, their mother being a deceased (in 1801) Eggleston daughter. Or possibly one of the three married daughters listed in the will was married twice. If you have any other ideas I would be thrilled to hear them.
