I finally had a chance to go through the Land Records for Lyme at my local FHC yesterday and made copies of two of the records that relate to my ancestors. The text in these documents finally proves a relationship between two people that I have been seeking for some time! I then went looking through the film of Vital Records to find the dates of death of these two individuals but was unable to locate them. Does anyone on this list have or know of any type of indexing system that would be able to check on two names in case I missed them while searching the microfilm? I'm seeking an Elisha & Lucy Emerson who were willed land in Lyme in 1835 by Abraham Emerson. The attorney involved was Nathan Smith and the witnesses were William & Elizabeth Marvin.
