On their Ellis Island record it says they are going to Eureka Laundry in New London. The laundry is listed in the 1909 city directory. Can anyone help me with an address for the business or tell me anything about it or laundries at that time in general? How can I discover more about the area at that time? I have tried the search engines but have yet to get a 'feel' for the era. I live in England and am finding it difficult to get info.
