I have a little information on Millet and Edmond and I am quoting from the DAR lineage my mother and sister have become members under. " Johnathon Millet b. abt 1740, d. 1801 in Palmyra, New York. He married Jenny Edmund abt 1764. His military service is between July 18-Dec.16, 1776. Listed as one of the Alarm List from the town of Voluntown [now Sterling] Conn. Taken from Conn. Records of Revolutionary and Other Wars, pg 24. Listed in Continental Regiments of 1775, 2nd Co., pg. 86. Corporal Johnathon enlisted July 18, 1776, discharged Dec 16, 1776. List of Captain Dixon's Company finds him listed among them. List of Children of Revolutionary Ancester shows them in this order: John, William, Andrew, Daniel, Samuel-Feb 3, 1773, m Rachel Douglas, Jonathon, Alexander, Hannah, Anna, Nancy.[agree except I show a Nancy and no Barbara] Samuel Millet was born Feb 3, 1773, in Sterling, Conn. and died Mar 16, 1847, in Ontario, NY. He married Rachel Douglas Feb 7 1799, she was born Dec 23, 1775, died Ontario, NY, Nov 17, 1858, she was the daughter of Samuel Douglas, who was the son of James Douglas. One of Samuel's children was Mary Millet, b. Feb 11, 1802, in Williamson, NY, d. June 8 1872, in Batavia, Ill., She married William Carlton Lawrence in 1923, he died in Palmyra, NY. Their child, William C. Lawrence b. Nov 28, 1822 Palmyra, NY, d June 18 1866, in Sycomore, Ill. married Mary Selts Nov 28, 1848, they had Diana Lawrence, b Aug 18, 1851, who married Adin Hiram Potter, a Civil War veteran and surviver of Andersonville Prison, had Mary Adalaide Potter, my grandmother and who I was named for, she married Fremont W. Tate, and their daughter , Freda Mary Tate married Albert T. Lawlis, and they were my parents. The first of this is actually copied from this Lineage Sheet, and I just scimmed over the rest of it, but I am real interested in anything you might have on any of these families.
