Janice ******************************************** According to the John Scovell lineage book (A Survey of the Scovils or Scovills in England and America; Seven Hundered Years of History and Genealogy, by Homer Worthington Brainard, 1915) the only thing that comes close is: Salma Scovil, b abt 1817 at possibly New London, CT; d bet 1842 and 1913 in New York City. (According to the notes for him on page 357): "He was living at New London in 1842; was a sailor and died in a 'sailor's home' in New York. A daughter b?? m S.D.Prior. This is why I thought Salma may have died in Clayville. Another thing,notice the spelling changes. The only Sailors Haven I found was in Mass.Rosa lived in Mass.
