The family story is that my grandfather was raised in a boarding house and only saw his parents on weekends. My grandfather, Arnold Hillman MacFarland was born 3 December 1909 and in the 1920 Census he was living with the family of Byron Mathieu. Byron Mathieu was a clerk for F. A. Wells & Co. and he lived at 78 Main Street, Preston, Norwich, New London CT in 1887-1891. I would like to find our more about the Mathieu family.
