I am trying to find the family of my 2xggmother Augusta MILLER. She was born in May 1821 and m George RYLEY (also RILEY); they had six children and lived in New London CT. I cannot find anything about her parents or siblings. The 1900 census (where Ancestry.com has her as Huguette Ryley) says her father was b in Massachusetts, but in 1880 it has CT for both parents -- it may be relevant that in 1880 her husband probably filled in the form, whereas in 1900 she was a widow and perhaps did it herself. Or in 1900 her son (who lived next door) did it and didn't know where his grandpa was from... Take your pick! I have searched the online Barbour Collection at _http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jdevlin/barbour/newlond_main.htm_ (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jdevlin/barbour/newlond_main.htm) , but it warns that births after 1800 are not there and need to be searched for in the hard copy. Is there SKS who could look out Augusta for me? Or suggest some other line of enquiry which I could pursue from England? Many thanks.
