Does anyone happen to know who Gales Ferry is named for?...OK , I understand the Gales part ! but wondered if anyone knew a first name.. or family names. I live in a house once owned by Gen. Somers ( Summers ) Gale in Vermont and have always wondered if there was a connection. This town was settled by people from CT as many VT towns were at least in this area. Thanks, Mary Ann
