The entry in the book of John Hempsted reads: "Aug' 21st [1774] Davis Rogers son of Nathan Rogers and Hannah Minor, daughter of John Minor was joyn in marriage at the Widdow of Jn Prentises." [NEHGS]. The Rogers were a Seventh Day Baptist or Sabbatarian family and Elder Davis Rogers led the Waterford, Connecticut Seventh Day Baptist Church for 19 years.
