I have been lurking for a little while and this is (I think) my first post to this list. I and the many other descendants of Thomas RYLEY (b NYC in 1793, according to his marriage record) who m Esther ROGERS of New London (and who lived there for the rest of his life, afaik), would love to know something, anything, about him -- apart from his marriage and his children. Esther's family is pretty well sorted out; but the RYLEYs stop here. Some of his children and grandchildren spelled the name RILEY. Two of his children were called Sarah Godfrey RYLEY (1825-39) and John Covington RYLEY (1835-48), and since I have found neither Godfrey nor Covington on the ROGERS side, I have wondered whether it was a RYLEY connexion: but have found nothing. I live in Cornwall in the United Kingdom, not very handy for Connecticut....
