Nov 8,1836 Kilrush,Co Clare Ireland, d. Aug 22, 1914, married abt 1875 Mary Ellen Trihy b. 1854 Sag Harbor N.Y. d. Jan 18, 1927. Martin emigrated from Ireland possibly between 1860-1875 to Canada, He went back to Ireland with Mary possibly to get married in Ireland. They came back to Canada after a time with some children. Some of the children settled in Canada, Connecticut and maybe elsewhere. Their children were: Nellie Hourigan 17 Aug 1877 - 14 Dec 1956 married a J.J. Somers. J.J. Somers d. between 1927-1934 Johnnie (John T.) Hourigan 29 May 1879 - 3 Mar 1947 married a Mary Clark. Mary Clark d.2 May 1949 Willie Hourigan b. 4 Jul 1881 d 24 Feb 1884 - 2yrs. 8 mo. 20 days. George Hourigan 14 Dec 1882 - 2 Oct 1912 in CT. married Anna Claire Murphy. "Annie" d. 2 Aug 1944 in IN - They had one child -Arthur Edward Hourigan in CT, 6 Apr 1911 - 14 Dec 1968 in TX. "Willie" William Hourigan 21 Sept 1884 - 1 Apr 1941 Martin Hourigan 14 Dec 1885 - 31 July 1934 "Dick" Richard J. Hourigan 28 Nov 1889 - 24 July 1968 He married a Nora Donovan? (unsure of surname) Nora d. 5 Jan 1964. they had no children. They lived in Norwich...They are buried at St. Josephs cemetery in Willimantic, Windham Co., CT "Edward" James or James Edward Hourigan 22 July1894 - 13 Jul 1955.
