Classification: Lookup Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XZ.2ADE/1433.1 Message Board Post: Dear Mr. Stromer, An 1930 Census index would be good if there was one for CT. You could use the street names you have from the City Directory to locate some of the EDs for the city (Norwich?)your searching in. - Go to the The NARA 1930 Microfilm locater: http://1930census.archives.gov/beginSearch.asp - Choose State from the tool bar on the upper-left-side of web page. Example: Connecticut - Choose County. Example: New London - Choose town or street. (However your street could be listed in other districts too if it was considered a interior street at some points of the enumeration process -- instead of a boundary.) ------- Another idea: Sometimes families or Mothers will go live with other family members after they have a baby. So if you have information on their relatives, you will want to search those towns or countries too. It lists 10 sources for the name Munsell, but none is military. Probably of most interest would be Munsell Genealogy (1884), 150 pages; NEHGS Register, xxxiv, pages 246-251; and Stiles' History of Windsor, CT, ii, 510--5 (that's how it is listed, unclear if it means 510-515).
