    1. Fuller and Loomer Families
    2. Silas Fuller Loomer of Columbia CT and Willimantic CT was a very influential person in the mid 1800's. He owned a lumber company and then built an Opera House in Willamantic. Question: Does anyone know of any connection between the Loomer and Fuller families? The Loomer family was in both Tolland and New London Cos. in the early 1800's. Ebenezer Loomer and Edna Eames were married and had a large family in the Groton area before eventually moving to Columbia NY (not CT). Charlie King gg grandson of Joseph Loomer Thompson born 1821 someplace in New London/Tolland Cos. died in North Stonington Ct 1887 ___________________________________________________________________ Speed up your surfing with Juno SpeedBand. 1. Daniel Fuller of Washington Co. NY
    2. Merrie, The 1850 Hebron/Washington/NY census shows: ...Daniel Fuller 52 Carpenter CT ...Mary 46 NY ...Wallace 16 Carpenter NY ...Orsan?(m) 12 NY ...Catherine 18 NY ...Francis 10 NY ...Nancy 5 NY On the same page as the children there is a Mary Rogers, 84, born CT living with David Rogers, 50, born NY. It may be that Mary Rogers is David's mother and that Daniel Fuller may have known her in CT. I don't think these Fullers are related to any Thompsons that I have. It is interesting to note, however, that one of the lines that may be related to my gg grandfather, Joseph Loomer Thompson, is Silas F(Fuller) Loomer of Columbia CT. Silas lived close to Augustus Thompson and James Thompson in the early 1800's in Columbia CT and that is why I am interested in him. Charlie King gg grandson of Joseph Loomer Thompson born 1821 someplace in New London/Tolland Cos CT Merry wrote: Hello Charlie, Yes, that is my Daniel Fuller, he was a millwright and moved around within Washington Co., NY. I hadn't heard about the Thompson children before, however. That is very interesting, do you think they are related to your Thompson line? I appreciate the information you sent, and intend to look through it immediately. If any of the books contain information about Eunice Main Fuller and her children I would appreciate it very much if you could let me know. Have a great day, Merrie (I know it is spelled funny, but if you've ever watched the old Bugs Bunny cartoons, then you have seen the MERRIE MELODIES in the opening of the cartoons) ___________________________________________________________________ Speed up your surfing with Juno SpeedBand. 3. I know so little about the Fullers, I probably shouldn't even reply. Don't know if there's any connection at all between this Martha "Patty" Fuller and your Daniel Fuller. I have Daniel Stanton, b. March 1782 in Harland, VT, d. Feb. 14, 1869 in Scott, WI. He married Martha "Patty" Fuller, 1805, Hartland, VT. I don't know anything about Patty Fuller's family, and all of the descendant info I have is from other researchers. Daniel Stanton was the son of Phineas Stanton II and Esther Gallup. This group migrated from Stonington CT to Hartland VT 1788 (my ancestor was Daniel's sister, Marcy). Here are the descendants of Daniel and Patty Fuller Stanton as they were given to me: ........ 2 Daniel M. 1. Daniel Fuller
    2. Marie, I found a Daniel Fuller in the 1850 census. This Daniel was born 1798 in CT and was married to Mary ___ born 1806 in New York State. Daniel and Mary had several Thompson children living with them. They were living in Hebron, Washington, New York. Is this the family you're looking for? 1. Maine Family
    2. Hi Marie; I was at the CT State Library today (Saturday) and was noticing the number of Maine families from Stonington and North Stonington that were listed in the Probate records of CT. It was by far the most prolific name in the Stonington area of New London Co. In fact, while I was there I picked up several Maine family books from the shelves. I bet you family is listed in one of these. On Wednesday I went down to look for the house that my gg grandfather, Joseph Loomer Thompson, lived in when he lived in Stonington (~1845 to 1869) and I think I found it. A 200 year old house on the east side of Farmhome Rd about a half mile up from Wetequewouck. The house has a Maine family living in it. My gg grandfather also bought land from Amasa M Maine in North Stonington about 1882. Charlie King gg grandson of Joseph Loomer Thompson Marie wrote: Hi, I am new to this list. The surnames I am interested in are Main and Fuller. I'm trying to trace the children of Eunice Main, born March 17, 1764 in North Stonington to Andrew Main and Fear Holmes. Eunice Main married David Fuller, who was born Oct. 2, 1764 in Willington, Tolland County, CT. They were married July 20, 1783 in Willington, and had 9 children: Molly, David, Davis, Thankful, Main, Chester, Daniel, Eunice, and Desiah/Desire. My primary interest is in the youngest son Daniel, born March 30, 1798 in Willington, trying to find out if he and my g-g-g-grandfather were the same Daniel Fuller. Does anyone have information on the Main family and their descendants? I have only traced two so far, Chester who never married and Desiah who married Austin Royce (they had no children). 2. My 5x great-grandfather fought and was wounded at the Fort Griswold massacre in Sept. 1781. His first wife was Sarah Minor Daughter of Nathan and Sarah Smith Minor his second wife was Sarah Minor Haley, daughter of David Minor. Any relationship? Thanks, Vi but David was not at Ft Griswold during the massacre. When his unit served under Col. Ledyard, it was for a brief period of time two years before the massacre. But a cousin of his did die there so I will check those sites when I have finished trying to find David's Ct. Military file. Thanks again. Pat. 2. Hi Gang, From an 1868 map of Stonington it appears that my gg grandfather, Joseph Loomer THOMPSON, was living on a road that leads from Wequetequock, in Stonington, northeasterly into No. Stonington. The road runs roughly parallel to the Stony Brook. Question: What is the name of this road? Question: Nathan Thompson (brother to Joseph??) died in the 1880's in Anguilla. Where was the Anguilla area in Stonington? I assume it is along the Anguilla Brook where it enters Wetequequock. Am I close?
