    3. Are you aware that the company A.C. Gilbert was in Hartford Conn? I believe at one time they built trains. I may be wrong, but think they were toy trains. During WWII, my parents worked there because it had been converted to a munitions factory. (Ammunition) Some where on the web I read they were also manufacturer of guns of some sort. You might try a large library if you are near one. There is a series of books written by JACOBUS. He compiled many, many early records of births, marriages, and deaths, then put the famies together. I is a wonderful series, and well respected as one of the primary sources of New England History. The series was written in the later part of the 1800's. I have to go to our state library because we are small tows. By the way, my mothers family came from Woodbridge, Conn also. I know they have a Historical Society there. If you mailed your request to the Town Offices, Woodbridge, I know they would receive it. Then ask if they will forward it to the Hist. Soc. There is also a LDA Family Center in Woodbridge. Sometime s they have volunteers who help out. Because they have all the Microfilm, etc. at that Family Center, they might look one or two things for you. Good luck! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Echelberger" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 21, 2002 10:20 PM Subject: Re: [CTNEWHAV] Woodbridge, New Haven Records > Dear List, > > I would like to know if there is any local Woodbridge, Connecticut early > history narrative.
