My grandparents gave birth to a child at home May 10, 1930 in West Haven, and she died two days later at home. She is said to be buried in Beaverdale Cemetery in New Haven, although there is no stone. My grandparents rarely spoke of this baby, and the only information my mother had was that she was "buried unnamed." My questions are these... as recent as 1930, wouldn't a death certificate be required for burial in New Haven County, and further, wouldn't a name be required for the death certificate? As long as I have the exact names of my grandparents and dates of birth and death, shouldn't both Vital Records and the cemetery be able to find this baby's information? Thanks, Wendy Baker
