I would like to know that answer, too, in case I ever come across it. My guess would be that they gave that name to the condition when a woman bled out after birth. What is utro gestation? I found my great great grandmother died of this complication at age 30. I went on google which lead me to a cemetery in New York which had quite a few women who had died as a result of this. But no explanation. It is not on the sites for archaic medical terms. She had baby one week before she died. Thanks. Hope I did not spoil anyone's breakfast.
