Hi everyone, July's roll call brought out a lot of information that, hopefully, generated a bingo or two. This month though, IS NOT about your individual lines... For as many people in our ancestries as we've found, there are many, many more that we've happened across who belong to the county but not to us. This month's challenge is about those miscellaneous people that are sitting in a shoebox under the bed, stuffed in a catch-all binder on a dusty shelf, molding in a desk drawer with the thought that one day you just might connect with them, but not yet. Great information for someone... ...just not not you. The challenge: Post that information about lines which are NOT yours, but were residents of the county at one time or another. Even if all you have is an obit or a single census extraction, that will count. The object is that the line isn't yours. Give as complete information about the person/family as you can ~ particularly regarding place and years. Post your data directly to the list, please. I'm only one person when, in fact, you want everyone to see it. Colleen P.S. If you did score a bingo on last month's roll call, won't you please share it with the rest of us? We'd love to partake in your happiness at making THE connection.
Evening Listers, This past June, I took a trip to New Haven, Connecticut, USA. After a week of collecting information from relatives, I went to the New Haven Free Public Library to lookup obituaries. In the process of copying my obituaries, I obtained others not related to me. I've already posted most of them on their respective surname boards but I'll also list them here. All are from the New Haven Register. I'm not familiar with the area, so I'm not making assumptions as to exact locations and only listing what is mentioned in the obituary. They are listed below with their dates of printing and page numbers. Please contact me offlist if anyone wants a photo of them. Saturday, May 9, 1931, p. 5 Cioffi, Madaline Volpe d.
