    3. I'm still looking for the Jerusha (_____) who married Felix MEIGS (his dates are 1735-1803). A tentative birth date of 1740 appears in the Ward genealogy, but with no documentation. I don't know where Jerusha was born, or where or when she and Felix were married, but it was possibly sometime in the mid-1750s, as their oldest child was born in 1758. Jerusha and Felix lived in the Guilford area until after 1790, when they moved to Vermont, where Felix died. Jerusha moved on with a daughter and son-in-law to Franklin County, New York where she died, probably sometime between 1810 and 1820. One big problem is that Felix was a boatman and he may also have made one or more deep-sea voyages, so he could have met and married Jerusha almost anywhere. I don't think she was a Connecticut girl; I haven't seen her in the Guilford records, in Bailey's early marriages or in the Marriage Licenses in the Province of New York Prior to 1784, or anyplace else I've looked. Their children married COOKs, FRISBIEs, NASHes, PONDs and WILLARDs. If anyone with these surnames also has Felix MEIGS in their family, I'd love to hear about it. Maybe we can compare notes. I have all the information I need on the MEIGS family, except for Jerusha.
