    3. Hi Grace, Thank you for a nice quick answer and then the Talcott site. I was so excited, I kept seeing names that I recognized, but never found the ancestors that I already have, completely documented, descending from my GGrandfather Ezra Lonzo Fowler, bn 1842, Willoughby, Lake County, Ohio going through his family to his death and all of his children and their descendants. I would have bet money I would find the ancestors I am looking for in that list. Ezra named his first son George A. Fowler, and the names Ezra, Charles, Robert, William, David, Edward run through all the families. Ezra maintained in all census records that "his father was born in NY and his mother was "born at sea" coming from Scotland. I looked in New Haven, CT on a tip because I know children and census enumerators often make mistakes on "places of birth". I will go back and look some more, but right now, I am discouraged. Where can I get the Barbour Records for Guilford? I have Ancestry.com. Thanks so much, Darline Fowler Smith ----- Original Message ----- From: "Grace Coffman" <gcoffman@alltel.net> To: <CTNEWHAV-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 5:01 PM Subject: Re: [CTNEWHAV] Fowler surname........... > > Hi Darline, > > The Fowler name is huge in and around the area, I myself have a ton of > Fowler names in my database (that i cant get to until I get my new copy of > FTM). 3. I just now made the connection between your search and where you were starting your search from - Ohio. That makes complete sense. Remember way back then Ohio was part of CT territory. Many CTers made their way to Ohio for land and opportunity. So, I think youre on the right track. -Grace > Hi Grace, > > Thank you for a nice quick answer and then the Talcott site.
