    3. I would like to find the maiden name and parents of Jerusha, who married Felix MEIGS (1735-1803) probably some time i the mid 1750s. Felix was from the Guilford CT area but I have not been able to find any record of the marriage or of Jerusha's maiden name. It has been suggested that she may have been an EVARTS, but I have not been able to document this. Any ideas would be appreciated. Edie in Maine

    3. Mary Ann Evarts was one of three wives of James Sherman Cowell. They are buried in the East Side (or maybe West Side, I visited it years ago) burial ground in Woodbridge, Conn. Believe, but no proof, James family may have come from Orange, Conn. Would love to hear from anyone related to James Sherman Cowell. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edith Bailes" <edieb@hypernet.com> To: <CTNEWHAV-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 23, 2004 6:47 PM Subject: [CTNEWHAV] My most elusive ancestor, Jerusha____ > > I would like to find the maiden name and parents of Jerusha, who married > Felix MEIGS (1735-1803) probably some time i the mid 1750s.
