Mine's not in New Haven but close by . . . My great grandfather, John McNamara, married Mary Lucy Chase. They had 3 (or 4) children - Alice, Florence and Lester. Lester is my grandfather. On Alice's birth record, it indicates that John is a hatter and was born in Newtown, CT. Mary Lucy is from Dover, NY. I can't find my grandfather's (Lester) birth certificate. I have information that he was born in Sharon, CT (SS Application) and in Pittsfield, MA (Marriage Record). Neither had his record. Anyone searching McNamara's from Newtown? Thanks! Kathy
