Well, apparently I've been very lucky. I have requested several certificates -- at different times -- from New Haven Co. as well a other jurisdictions within the county and it never took more that week and a half.

Hi, Thanks for your response. Yes, you have been very lucky. I've had some come back in a week from the small towns but the larger cities take much longer. I waited almost a full year for one from Bridgeport a few years back. Thanks to everyone who responded. I was really beginning to worry about the money orders.
