Alvin Talcott, in his "Families of Early Guilford, Connecticut" begins his coverage of the BARTLETT family with George who died 3 August 1669 and who married 14 September 1650 Mary CRUTTENDEN, who died 11 September 1669. He lived in Guilford, Conn. I know there are BARTLETTs who came to Massachusetts earlier in the 1600s, but I have not ben able to connect them to the Guilford BARTLETTs. Can somebody please help me fill in the gap, and give me the appropriate references? The Bartlett line came on the Queen Anne in 1623 to MA, and the Coan line apparently came in the early 1700's to America. My ggrandfather, Samuel Coan Bartlett, was born in North Guilford, CT, in 1844.
