Hello, I'm new to the list and I'm trying to find out about steamship companies operating in New Haven from 1880-1900. I had an ancestor who was an engineer on steamers out of New Haven owned by Willis Smith. Any information people have about either the steamers or Mr. Smith would be appreciated.
