Hello Listers, I do hope someone on this list can connect with the above. When I first found my 5th ggrandfather, Jehiel SMITH, I thought "Great, Jehiel is an unusual name and now it should be easy". Not so, I have found out:)! There are a number of Jehiel SMITH's in that time frame and I am having a heck of a time sorting them out. My latest clue (which may or may not be a connection) is the following: "Esther SMITH, daughter of Jehiel SMITH, b. 1751 in Cheshire, CT". Esther is a common name in the family and I am hoping someone will connect with her. Thank you, for your time. Margaret in NV
