I found in the 1850 census in East Haven CT the following Thompson family: Albert age 39, wife Jane (39) Henry (18) and Abigal Byington (64). Also, down the street are: Aaron Thompson (59) wife Sally (59) George (30) Daniel (25) Mervin (?) 21 and Maria Keley(surname) (12) Also, one house down: William Thompson (26) Olive (35) Hiram H. (21) Lois (8) and Thomas O. Brien (32). Now, here is what I wonder. I have an Abigail Byington who married UNKNOWN who I believe to be the parents of Darlington Byington, who married Martha. Does anyone know if perhaps Abigail's surname is Thompson, which is why she is living with the Thompson's in 1850? In 1860 I have Abigail living with Darlington (her son I believe) - I tend to think these two Abigails are the same. Any help is surely appreciated! -Grace [email protected]
