One of the researchers I am working with was on Long Island this past summer, so I think we have probably found most of the records in Southold and Setauket/Brookhaven. Because of time constraints, we were never able to determine if there are any Setauket/Brookhaven Church records available for the period 1680-1720. The references we found were all in the books of town records. And they don't contain births, marriages, etc. Any early church records in that area would be the one thing I am interested in finding out about!     3. Alison- I am a novice as to how "to find out if there are any church records in Setauket or Brookhaven". Exactly how would I go about doing this for you? Brookhaven is so close to me I would like to start there but need advice and guidance as to "how" to go about doing this.
