First of all appologies if this isn't the right list. I have no experience of genealogy research in the USA. Benjamin Woolhouse RAMSDEN went to the USA (from Sheffield, England originally) with his wife, Norah and son, Omar sometime around 1879. Around 1882 a second son, Wallace, was born to Benjamin and Norah in Meriden. The family moved back to Sheffield around 1884 and a third son, Horace, was born. In 1897 Benjamin went back to the USA and appears in the 1900 census in Meriden. His family remained in the UK. The census entry indicates that he was a widower but his wife actually died in 1929! I can find no trace of Benjamin in the UK after 1900 so assume he must have died in the USA. Can anyone suggest ways to trace Benjamin and family during their first stay and also what happened to Benjamin after 1900? Thanks for any help Tigger, Warrington, England
