I was not clear, the surname I am searching is LIPSON which is my maiden name. I do not know if my great grandparents immigrated or not. I suspect they did but have not been able to find them or my grandfather on a federal census yet. The only census I have been able to find any Lipson on is the 1935 and 1945 Florida State Census. My grandfather moved from CT/MA area down here to FL in 1923. If my grandfather was indeed born in New Haven in 1884, and if the g-grandparents immigrated then it would have to have been prior to that date. I am beginning to believe that good old Granddad was beamed down here directly to FL from the planet Krypton and everything else is just a cover story! Just joking!! I do have proof that my father was born in Hartford in 1921, so I know granddad was there for a while and I also know he was in Boston for a time, my grandmother died at a very early age ! | in 1922 in Boston. | | Thanks for the input. I guess I may never find proof of granddad's birth. | | Pam Lipson Jastremski | Florida | | | ==== CTNEWHAV Mailing List ==== | Need to reach Colleen, the discussion coordinator? 3. Bob, Yes, I have seen that. The names I am looking for are Joseph and Rose Lipson and son Abraham N. Lipson, of course Abraham was not born until 1884. I have no idea if any of these other Lipsons are related. I did find a Joseph Lipson in Bristol, CT on the 1920 census but again, wrong one. He was too young to be my great-grandfather. Could be a son of Joseph and brother to Abraham, but I don't know. Thank you trying to help.
