Monroe LEE and his wife Rebecca LYNN moved to Naugatuck, CT from Mahanoy City, Schuylkill, PA, around 1890. Rebecca was the daughter of John LYNN (nee KEMP) and his wife Catharine "Katie" BURNHAM or BURNS, who were both born in England, and who both came to the US as children. The following data is from from the 1900 census and from their marriage record: 1. Monroe LEE, b Aug 1863, PA, mar 6 Mar 1886, Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA + Rebecca LYNN, b Sep 1865, PA 2. Pearl LEE, b Sep 1887, Schuylkill Co, PA 2 Richard LEE, b Sep 1897, CT (probably Naugatuck) In 1900 they were living in Naugatuck, and Monroe was a shoemaker at the rubber mill. Living with them was Rebecca's widowed mother, Catharine LYNN. According to the census data, Rebecca had given birth to 6 children and only 2 were still living in 1900. Two of Rebecca's brothers, Joseph LYNN and Austin LYNN, also made the move to CT from PA, and I have posted information about them in a separate message. I would love to hear from descendants of this LEE family. I am not a LEE, but I have done extensive research on Rebecca's LYNN family in the US and England (in England their name was KEMP) which I would be happy to share. Joann Jameson San Leandro, CA
