Hello List, I am researching Edward Evarts (b. March 3, 1752 in Guilford, New Haven, CT). He was the son of Caleb Evarts (b. May 27, 1707) and Elizabeth Stocker. Some members of Caleb Evarts' family left Connecticut sometime in the 1760s and settled in Vermont. Edward Evarts married Selphina Culver probably in Vermont during 1781. Their daughter Selphina Evarts was born in Vermont in 1799. Edward Evarts probably died in Greene, Chenango County, NY during the late 1840s. I have not been able to find any proof of his date or place of death. Edward served in the American Revolution with the Vermont Militia. After the American Revolution, he lived in the following places : Sunderland, Bennington, VT; Pollet, Rutland, VT; Granville, Washington, NY Hillsdale, Columbia, NY Greene, Chenango, NY Any information shared on Edward Evarts or his family will be appreciated. I am trying to prove this line with documentation. I will be glad to share the information that I have with anyone interested. Thank you. Nick Mizaur [email protected]
