    1. Wetmore Spouses: Mary Bacon's Mother Ann Miller
    2. RE Bill of Ft. Walton,Fl: >I am looking for the spouses that married into the Wetmore family. ... >Mary Bacon born 7 April 1666 Middletown died 24 May 1709 Middletown b child of Nathaniel and Ann (Miller) Bacon married Samuel Wetmore born 10 Sept 1655 Middletown... I am descended from Thomas Miller (Ann Miller Bacon's father) via his second wife, Sarah Nettleton, who was "not much older than his daughter, Ann, who married in 1653 Nathaniel Bacon, in Middletown." Per the genealogical records compiled in the 1930's by my aunt, Carrie A. Miller Bradley, and copied by my cousin, Frances A. Bradley Pudeler in 1989, (I am faithful to her spelling, so there may be inaccuracies) the following is the ancestry of Ann Miller Bacon's mother: "Thomas Miller Sr came to this country from Burmingham, [sic] England Apr 1635 on the Ship "Elizabeth" (a sailing vessel) with his wife Ann Maria. They had a son, Thomas, age 2 yrs., who would of [sic] been 21 in 1654, but probably died young. "They came to Springfield, Mass., and Rowley in 1635. He was made a "freeman" there in 1639. Thomas had 1 1/2 acre of land for a home lot at Rowley in 1643. He still lived in Rowley in 1651 with his wife, Ann Maria and he was a carpenter. "About 1652 he moved to Middletown, Conn.; had land there in 1654, in what was called Upper Housen, Later Cromwell, Conn. He was recommended to the church at Middletown fromt he church at Rowley. Gov. Benjamin Miller, David Miller and Mos Miller were inhabitants of the same place as Thomas Sr. [ed note: speculation] "The 1st permit for a Grist Mill in Middletown was granted to Thomas Miller Sr in 1655. This was located on what was then called Millers Brook, later Pameacha Brook ... [ed note: the reverse sequence seems more likely!] "In 1714 his son, Thomas Jr. was granted a Mill privalage, [sic] not far from the same spot. The ruins of this mill still stand (1930's). There is a Memorial Tablet to Thomas Miller on this property. "Thomas Miller Sr and his 2nd wife, Sarah NETTLETON, daughter of Samuel and Maria Nettleton of Bradford, England were married 6 June 1646-66. She was a servant girl and probably not much older then his daughter, Ann, who married in 1653 Nathaniel BACON, in Middletown, Conn. Sarah came from Stratton, Rutland County, England. "Thomas Miller Sr. Died in Middletown, Conn., 14 Aug 1680." Ed note: I do not have a birthdate for Ann Miller, nor a death date for her mother, Ann Maria, nor information on other siblings, if any. The information on Thomas Jr dying young conflicts with the statement "In 1714 his son, Thomas Jr., was granted a Mill privalage [sic]..." The same source gives as the parentage of the immigrant Thomas MILLER Sr: "Martin Miller, born about 1570 in Scotland, married about 1603 to Pryscilla UNKNOWN, born about 1572. At Ashford, Kent England, they had six sons and four daughters: Rev. John Miller, born about 1605. Died at Groton, Mass., 12 June 1663. Thomas Miller Sr., born about 1609/10. Died 14 Aug 1680, Middletown, Conn. William Miller, born about 1612. Nathan or Simon Miller, born about 1615. George Miller, born about 1618. Joseph Miller, born about 1620. Note: Nothing recorded about the 4 daughters, as of 1940." Any other MILLER historians out there descended from Samuel Miller, b 1 Apr 1668 at Middeltown, son of Thomas Sr. and Sarah Nettleton (vital records spells it Sara NECALLSON), died 11 April 1738 at Middletown, who married Mary EGGLESTONE (or Marea EGLESTONE) 26 July 1702 at Middletown?
