I have no listing for the w. of John Hall Jnr but Kathryn Wetmore Stadel's Wetmore genealogy gives the w. of John Hall Sr. as Ann WILLICKE. I believe this also is found in James Carnahan Wetmore's 1861 genealogy. 2. Some sources give John Sr.'s provenance as Essex, England. But this may be confusing him with John Hall of Wallingford. 3. Thomas Whitmore's mother is UNKNOWN! John Whitmore m. the widow Johanna (?) Jessup around the time he moved to Stamford in 1643 or so. 4. King Philip's War was ca. 1675, not 1704. 5. The Samuel Hall cited is the wrong one. From Savage: SAMUEL, Wallingford, s. of John of New Haven, m. May 1668, Hannah Walker, had John, b. 22 Dec. 1670, at New Haven, and at W. may have had others, was deac. and d. 1725. The right one is: SAMUEL, Middletown, s. of John of the same, prob. his youngest ch. freem. 1654, d. 14 Mar. 1690, left wid. Elizabeth and three ch. Samuel, b. 3 Feb. 1664; John, 7 Aug. 1668; and Thomas, 29 Aug. 1671. The correct Samuel appears on the plaque at Old Riverside Cemetery, Midltn. This is another case of confusing the two John Halls and their offspring.
