In Early Connecticut Marriages - As found on Ancient Church Records Prior to 1800, edited by Frederic W. Bailey, Baltimore; in East Haddam, Middlesex Co., [actually second church in the district of Millington, which was formed 1736.] Book 1, p.88 "Daniel Starling of Lyme & Demas Morse. Feb. 17, 1763." Book 1, p83 "Daniel Sterling of Lyme & Jedekiah Gates, Nov. 14, 1792." Book 1, p83 "Starling Graves & Anna Cone, Oct. 28, 1794" There are 7 books, which were combined into a single book. This book has no order to its entries, neither by date or alphabetical. Seems to cover into 1790's. Good luck! Supposedly not found in vital records. IGI listing, based on LDS patron marriage entry submitted by an LDS member, gives marriage location as "2nd Ch. E. Haddam, Conn". Does anyone know what church this is and if their records are available on film or elsewhere? Also seeking marriage, probably in 1790s, of their son James STERLING to a Mary -----. James moved on to NY, probably Chenango Co. in late 1790s, and by 1818 was in Athens Co., OH. From Tony & Linda Kmiecik
