Abner COOPER b 1763 in Middletown, CT served in the CT Line during the Revolutionary War. He later moved westward through the NYS Catskills, onto Sheshequin, Bradford Cty, PA (where he met and married my gggg grandmother Mary Ovenshire), then settled for a time -- 1800-1819 -- in Newtown (today Elmira), NY... before moving to Bentley Creek, Bradford Cty, PA where he died in 1837. I'm searching for information regarding his parents, siblings, and whether he was related to any of the many Coopers that had settled in Pawlings, Washington Cty, NY -- a few miles west of Middletown -- in the late 1700s.
