Sincerly, > Nicole RosenbergerJaneDevlin@netquest.com Dear Nicole, I live about 9 miles from Haddam, actually between Haddam and Hebron, in Marlborough. There is a local paper, The Home Town Crier, which has a column, often with stories of local families. I sent one copy to someone on the HURD family. You could call or write and ask if any of your names have been featured. The address is P.O. Box 328, 16 William F. Palmer Road, Moodus, CT 06469; 860-873-1708. Haddam and Middle Haddam are beautiful towns. If you have never visited there, you should think about it. Many local attractions, too. Indeed, Brainard is a pretty common and well known name in CT. THere is Brainard Road in Hartford and Brainard Field in East Hartford. I don't know anything on your family names in particular. Where are you located? If you know if any of your ancestors are buried in local cemeteries, I would be glad to photograph headstones for you. Likewise, if you know where the house is, I can photograph it for you. Anne
