Hello! I noticed that you said you live in Haddam. I am a direct descendant of Thomas Carrier. My mother is a Carrier. My first question involves a house, and perhaps you know, since you are in Haddam. There is a particular house that has been in our family since about the early 1700's, Currently my mother's Uncle Paul Carrier lives there. The house is in Middle Haddam, on some river or another. The house was once a stop on the underground railroad. That is as much as I know.. would you happen to know anything more about this house? History? Etc... Secondly, both my grandfather and my great grandfather have the middle name of Brainard. I know this is a common surname in the Haddams. Directly back to Thomas, there is no Brainard. Do you have any insight to this?? OK! Last question...do you have information on one Capt. Edward M. Simpson, who married one Harriet Johnson. Together they had a daughter, Caroline J. Simpson, born ? Caroline married John A. Carrier on January 16, 1878. This is the only date I have for this family. Would you know anything about this?
