According to "The Families of Jacob Waterhouse", Jerry Waterous, 1993, Daniel was the son of Joseph Watrous and Hannah Willard Watrous, m 15 Sept 1801. Daniel was born 13 Jul 1810 d 1890, m Harriet [sic] Dudley 23 Oct 1823. Daniel's siblings were Sally, Hannah, Edwin, Ann Maria, Harriet, Joseph, Alfred, Caroline, Alanson, and Fidelia. Daniel's brother Edwin Watrous married Mary Smith 17 Oct 1823. Mary b 1805, d 27 March 1887, daughter of Ezra and Martha (Stone) Smith. Children of Edwin and Mary: Julian b 10 Aug 1834, Martha b 1836 m. Dennis Burr, John b 1838, Edwin b 1842 d 7 Mar 1844, Andrew Stone c 1844, Franklin Webster b 1852.
