The remarks are made in SOTGM that Jacobus was uncertain if Rebecca was married to Gerard and Goodwin refers to her as Howard (an interesting aside for me!) The 1677 comes from a Saybrook record apparently. Since there were no offspring from this couple it probably has not been pursued as diligently as it might have if there were descendants. Gail
