Dear List Members, My Quinns were Irish immigrants, who lived in Higganum for a number of years. Does anyone know why the Irish would have gone to Higganum? Was there employment that would have drawn them there in the 1860'-1870's? These were Dubliners, not farmers or country folk, and it just seems a strange place for newly emigrated city people to go. Any help would be appreciated. - Monica
