WETMORE/WETTMORE section Only Elizabeths in the 1680s time frame: "Elizabeth, d. John & Mary, b. Mar. 20 1686 LR1:32" "Elizabeth, d. Thomas, b. Sept. 2, 168[ ] LR1:22" As neither of these DOBs seems to be 1684 - the 2nd one may be but illegible to the transcriber, whether either is the Elizabeth in question is beyond me. The John & Mary, the first ones parents, may be John WETMORE and Mary SAUNDERS (per Middletown VR) who were married in Middletown on Apr 1, 1686. Savage, Wetmore Family, and Families of Hartford (Barbour) has Mary's maiden name as SAVAGE while Barbour Collection of Middletown VRs has it as SAUNDERS. Torrey notes the error with p. 810, "Mary Savage (Sanders wrong)." Their marriage along with John's first wife is listed in the Middletown Barbour Collection: I-Z:484: "John m. Abigaill Warner, Dec. 30, 1680 LR1:32" "John m. Mary Saunders, Apr. 1 1686 LR1:32" The JC Wetmore's, WETMORE Family genealogy, p. 27, agrees on these marriage dates. Do note the same ledger and page number for the 1st Elizabeth and John's 2 marriages. If this Eliz. is dau. of this John and Mary, then they probably married with a shotgun to John's head - note the dates. Of course double dating may enter in here?? Savage, IV:527 says Elizabeth dau. of John and Mary was born 20 Mar 1687. Sooo her DOB probably should read 20 Mar 1686/87??? Here's Abigail's death listing in 1685 which is in line for a 2nd marriage the following year: I-Z:481: "Abiga[i]ll, w. of John, d.
