Yep, Ray -- Cousin Jane has been our listmom forever and has done a bangup job with the list and her web site. Most of us listers have had it bookmarked for a few years now. Warren & anyone living in centeal CT. At the State Library in Hartford and at the Godfrey Library in Middletown they have copies of the Hale Collection of Cemetery Inscriptions. The Hale Collection was a WPA project during the depresson, and with being paid for with Federal funds is not copyrighted. The cmemtery inscriptions that Jane has online for Middletown, East Haddem and Westbrook came from the Hale Collection. If you are at one of those Libraries and can copy another one for Middlesex County and send it to Jane I think she would appreciate it. Would be even better if one could be typed up and sent to her. A lot of early things never got recorded in town records so for some the Hale Collection is the only source of the info. Over the years Jane and I have done a lot of copying of things to add to the web and enjoyed it. Someone out there may find it rewarding also. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jdevlin/ Ray http://www.rays-place.com Warren Wetmore wrote: >Yep, Ray -- Cousin Jane has been our listmom forever and has done a >bangup job with the list and her web site. If you decide to photo-copy and transcribe cemetery records, I would recommend taking a list with you of the cemeteries Jane already has on her site. Several in Middletown, Haddam, etc. etc. You don't want to duplicate.
