Does anyone have any information on the Bowe families that lived in Middletown CT in the mid 1800's? My gg grandfather, William Bowe Sr., was born about 1830 in Ireland. His son William Bowe, Jr. was apparently born in North Smithfield RI in 1852 but I can't find where his father, William Bowe, Sr., lived during this period. I am thinking that might be the William Bowe of Middletown or somehow connected with this family. Does anyone know where in Ireland the Bowe family of Middletown CT came from?
