I don't believe his origins are known beyond a possible 1606 or 1608 DoB in Earls Colne, ESS, and a father also named John. My John had a first wife whose name is unknown; their dau. Hester/Esther m. Giles HAMLIN of Middltn. I descend from his second wife, Elizabeth GOODWIN (only child of Elder Wm and Elizabeth WHITE) via their dau Mehitable who m. Col. Saml.
