Just wanted to get a quick request for help into the Stevens discussion. I am stuck at Reuben Stevens (born ca. 1792, location unknown) living in Middlefield in the 1820s and 30s. A biography of William states that Reuben was "of English origin." Reuben was a carpenter/joiner, and framed the Congregational parsonage in Middlefield (still in use). He moved with his wife Rebecca Ives (Meriden family) to Western Star, Medina County, Ohio ca. 1838 with children Antoinette, Cornelia, Fidelia, Henry, Lucinda, Maria, and William. Any info on the origin of Reuben would be appreciated. Does not seem to fit the Reuben Stevens' in Killingworth. Dan Stevens [email protected] --
